My lightbulb moment...

So yesterday I as perusing various photography blogs, including www.attachedphotography.com. I learned that Carl is a an affiliated photographer for NILMDTS Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep. (Please follow link for info) Last night I held Kendall so close and so tightly and rocked her for about an hour before finally putting her to bed...we almost lost her at birth due to cord entaglement and she was born with craniosynostosis. Anyway, long story short the thought of using my love of photography for helping someone never occured to me...I would love to become a photographer for NILMDTS despite how heartwrenching it must be...it will never be as hard for me as it is for those parents, and to be able to catch their final moments with their precious baby has to be the highest honor and priveledge. As I sat with my daughter, I also thought about special needs children and how their parents would give anything to be able to capture the child that sometimes, only they know. I did some research and came across Special Kids Photography. I would love to do work for NILMDTS and to become accredited by SKPA. I must admit it was a real eye-opener for me. I look forward to helping people and using my passion for good!

First Official Post

Hiya peeps! (All two or three of you)...The bloggy-blog is up and running! I fed my addiction of all things digital design by learning how to personalize a blogger template...wish I new CSS! One thing at a time though, there aren't enough hours in the day! I hope to be able to update this frequently, but if you really love me (and why wouldn't you) I am on twitter, "mtphotochick". This blog is currently focusing more on my photography, but I hope to add a section dedicated to graphic design here in the near future..and, one day, when I get my big girl panties (and more $$$), I will launch my own "show it" website. Some of you will know what that is, some, not so much. Anywho, I need to peel myself away from my lifeline to the world, write some thank you cards, eat a snack, and maybe, just maybe try to go to bed before midnight, HA! Wish me luck on that one!
